Meet Kerry.
Kerry Drake is a Registered Early Childhood Educator, professor, speaker and facilitator who believes some of the most meaningful professional learning begins when people are given the space to think together.

FROM PRACTICE TO PROFESSIONAL LEARNING
Grounded in the work.
Kerry’s work is grounded in nearly two decades in early childhood education. She began as a frontline Early Childhood Educator, working directly with children, families and educators — experience that continues to shape how she thinks about practice, relationships and professional learning today.
Her work expanded into post-secondary education, where she has spent more than a decade preparing future Early Childhood Educators and helping students connect theory, pedagogy and professional expectations with the realities of practice.
Across those experiences, one idea continued to surface: information alone does not create meaningful change. That belief became central to KD Talks — creating professional learning experiences where people can reflect, question, make connections and learn with one another.
WHAT SHAPES THE WORK
Relationship. Reflection. Practice.
The way Kerry approaches professional learning is shaped by three interconnected ideas: how we learn with one another, how we make meaning of our experiences, and how learning connects back to the realities of practice.
RELATIONSHIP
Professional learning is relational. People need trust, connection and space to learn with and from one another.
REFLECTION
Growth requires more than receiving information. Kerry creates opportunities to pause, question assumptions, examine practice and make meaning together.
PRACTICE
Ideas matter when they can live in the realities of the work. Kerry connects reflection and learning to what educators and leaders actually experience every day.
